ABOUT US-SCHAACK RANCH
Thank yo
Clay and Holly both grew up ranching so it is with a lifetime of strong passion and commitment they work hard and enjoy what they do. For over 25 years, they have been driven and strive to grow their cattle herd into a registered angus operation from selling their bulls private treaty to a public sale at the ranch. We are rapidly growing our cattle herd by using embryo transfers from our elite females. Clay works hard at mating our cows to produce top notch females, and explosive bulls to help our customers improve their herds with heavy weaning weights. We AI all our cows and heifers, and have teamed up with ReproLogix in embryo work, instead of adding we are multiplying our herd! We introduce the right bloodlines with the right EPD's with good DNA and it works! We have been asked why we are going all carcass? We are addressing and progessively complimenting all traits, not just carcass. We do feel we need to add carcass quality to our cattle and our customers cattle. We want better than commodity cattle. It also important to address flesing ability and longevity.
Our hearts desire is to ride and raise outstanding, athletic, top performing horses that excel in the arena and on the ranch! WE are blessed to own two magnificent stallions who compliment each other in raising some excellent arena performers! We stand JESS VEGAS and PC FROSTY CALIBAR at the ranch where we do all our own collecting, and AI'ing of mares. We sell our horses by private treaty. All the colts are ridden on the ranch before they are exposed to the arena life, they get a lot of miles. Our brood mares are mares that we have rodeo'ed on or ranched on. We raise horses that can handle the hauling and long days on the ranch but still have the ability to perform at the highest level in the arena.
Clay and Holly have two sons, Wyatt and Wynn. Wyatt is 25 years old, he graduated from Philip High School in 2014. He attended South Plains College in Levelland, TX, graduated from World Wide Auctioneering school June 2015. Wyatt has started his own registerd cattle herd, plus he is involved with Cattle Business Weekly, and an auctioneer at Mobridge Livestock Sale Barn. Wyatt's greatest passion is auctioneering. He helps out with different sale barns, and farm sales. Wyatt has met a beautiful, talented lady Hannah Ellsworth, they were engaged during the stock show. We are so excited to have a daughter!! Hannah is a veterinarian at the Animal Clinic in Rapid City, and does all our vet work here at the ranch. They have blessed us with a grandson, McCrae Lane was born August 20, 2019. McCrae is the newest ranch foreman, and has his papa and grandma wrapped around his finger.
